福岡市において日本歯学保存学会2019年度秋季学術大会(第151回)が開催され、多くの研究者が参加して活発な討論が行われました。歯学部口腔機能修復・再建学系う蝕制御治療学分野 邱 友靖特別研究員の発表(演題名:生体活性型接着性モノマーCMETは象牙芽細胞分化を誘導する)が、優秀ポスターとして認められ、「日本歯科保存学会優秀ポスター賞」を受賞しました。
邱 友靖先生の発表は、石灰化誘導性を示す bio-active monomer, CMETを用いた「修復象牙質形成誘導」アプローチに関するもので、CMETが象牙芽細胞様細胞の分化・石灰化を促進する多機能モノマーであることを明らかにしました。今回の研究結果を基に、今後、口腔内環境の変化に応じて、再石灰化能、抗菌性、抗バイオフィルム形成能、修復象牙質誘導能などの機能を効果的に発揮し、齲蝕発生を防止するとともに歯髄を保護することが可能な多機能性スマート材料の開発を目指します。
The 151st meeting of Japanese Society of Conservative Dentistry was held in Fukuoka on 7-8 November, 2019. The presentation by postdoctoral fellow Dr. Youjing Qiu in the division of Clinical Cariology and Endodontology, Department of Oral Rehabilitation, School of Dentistry (title: CMET, bio-active adhesive monomer, induces odontoblast-differentiation in vitro.) was recognized as an excellent poster and received the “Excellent Poster Award of the Japanese Society of Conservation of Dentistry”.
The presentation of Dr. Youjing Qiu was focus on the “induction of reparative dentin formation” approach using bio-active monomer, CMET, which shows calcification inducibility, it was revealed that CMET is a multifunctional monomer that promotes differentiation and calcification of odontoblast-like cells. Based on the results of present research, it is aim at the development of a multifunctional smart material in the near future that capable of effectively exerts functions such as remineralization ability, antibacterial property, antibiofilm forming ability, and reparative dentin formation inducibility, as well as preventing dental caries formation and protecting the pulp tissue in response to changes in the oral environment.
