These programs provided students with opportunities to participate in lectures, clinical training, and practical exercises at our school of Dentistry, enhancing their understanding of dental care and fostering international academic exchange.
1. Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia)
Universiti Teknologi MARA is Malaysia’s largest comprehensive university, with numerous faculties including Dentistry. In May, eight Master’s students in Dental Public Health and four PhD students in Special Care Dentistry visited our university for a one-week program. The program included lectures, clinical training at our dental hospital, facility tours, and visits to nursing homes, providing insight into Japan’s elderly dental care system.
2. Chulalongkorn University (Thailand)
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s oldest and consistently top-ranked national university, sent four dental undergraduates to our university in June. Students participated in lectures and clinical training at our School of Dentistry and dental hospital. During this period, Medical Technology students from Chulalongkorn University also joined exchange program at our School of Medical Technology.
3. University of Gothenburg (Sweden)
University of Gothenburg, a leading Nordic comprehensive university and world-class institution in dental education and research, sent three dental students in June. The students engaged in clinical training, facility tours, and a visit to the Swedish Center Foundation. Biomedicine students from Gothenburg University also participated in exchange program at our School of Medical Technology simultaneously.
4. Hasanuddin University (Indonesia)
Hasanuddin University, founded in 1956 in Makassar, Indonesia, is a national university with 14 faculties, including Dentistry and Medicine. From June to July, five dental students visited our university, participating in clinical training and observing oral surgery and dental anesthesia procedures. The program also included interactions with our Dual PhD students and postdoctoral fellow from Hasanuddin University. In August, a joint dental symposium with our university, Hasanuddin University, and Taipei Medical University was held at Hasanuddin University.
5. Kyung Hee University (South Korea)
Kyung Hee University, a prestigious comprehensive university based in Seoul and a leader in internationalization in South Korea, sent five dental students in July. They participated in lectures and clinical training at our School of Dentistry and dental hospital. The Dean and faculty from Kyung Hee University also visited to observe the students’ program and tour our facilities.
