On 1 November 2026, a signing ceremony was held at a conference venue in Tokyo to
renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Dentistry, The
University of Hong Kong, and the School of Dentistry, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido.

The Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong, is internationally recognised for
its excellence in education and research, ranking second in the world in Dentistry in
the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dean Shuichi Ito, Prof. Yasushi Furuichi, Assistant to
the President, and Prof. Yoshihiro Abiko, Director of the International Education and Exchange Centre,
from HSUH, and Prof. Lijian Jin, Dean of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong.

Following presentations on educational and research activities and international exchange
initiatives at both universities, Dean Ito and Dean Jin signed the renewed agreement.

Through this renewal, both faculties aim to further strengthen their collaboration through student
and faculty exchanges and joint research, contributing to the advancement of dental education and research.
