From 6 to 17 July 2026, three students from the Department of Gerontological Health Management, College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University (Taiwan), participated in a two-week short-term exchange programme at the of Nursing and Social Services of Health Sciences University of Hokkaido.

 

The students participated in lectures and practical training and visited various healthcare and social welfare facilities, including a special nursing home, a community-based integrated care centre, a home-visit nursing station, and Teine Keijinkai Hospital. At the hospital, they visited several departments and had the rare opportunity to board a medical helicopter.

 

HSUH students supported the TMU students throughout the programme, joining them in lectures, facility visits, and practical training. The programme provided valuable opportunities for students to learn from each other and deepen their understanding of nursing and social services.
